In honor of Holocaust Survivors' Day on June 7th the HSS department is hosting a picnic in the park for JFCS' Surivior clients. This is one of their favorite events each year; volunteers say the same! Help Holocaust Survivors enjoy a fun day in the sun with their friends and families by offering to drive them to and from the event. The picnic will take place in Cook Park in Tigard from 12-3pm. Driving will not be more than 25 minutes each way. You are not required to stay at the event but are more than welcome to. Clients live in different parts of Greater Portland so we will do our best to match you with a client that lives near your zip code.
Please consider if your vehicle is accessible to elderly individuals when signing up.
We are asking for volunteers in advance of the event, but we can't be certain how many clients request transportation. We appreciate you signing up, but please know there is a chance you don't get matched with a client.
